I have been developing and producing non-fiction content for screens and public display for more than 25 years. I split my time between development producing, production, and post and love the “team” element of producing content. Just let me know what you need and let’s get started!

YES. The lessons I’ve learned from a career in television extend far beyond the screen. First and foremost, know your audience and amaze them. With these words as a guide, I have also worked on museum exhibits, written web content for local and national corporations, and written a podcast.

I had the pleasure of spending more than a dozen years working for the National Geographic Channel. Three things have stuck with me from that experience: 1) high expectations for production quality, 2) a rigorous approach to research, and 3) a deep understanding of how funders think. When we work together we aren’t going to waste time on things our clients don’t want or care about.

While my company, Velo Media, does not provide a complete suite of production services in house, I frequently partner with larger production companies in the DC area and beyond. Creative collaboration is what makes this business special and over the years I have developed a truly special creative network.

The projects I’ve worked on have been filmed around the world, but I always try to keep one foot in the DMV. In my credits page you’ll see a film I helped produce (with Interface Multimedia) about the District Wharf. We collaborated on a local-facing podcast as well. I am also continuously reminded of how rich this area is with experts in nearly every discipline. I often find the best interview candidates within a short drive.
